Nature journaling helps connect children to the world around them. In this class we will learn to slow down and really notice the animals and plants around us. During class we will go on hikes while stopping to sketch interesting finds. Instruction on beginning sketching, use of art supplies and researching will be given throughout our time. Helping fine tune their observational and listening skills. Over the four weeks of the class the forest will be blooming and growing around us. This is a great time to catalog the changes and notice how much the wild changes. The kids will experiment with watercolors, oil pastels, tempura paint, different kinds of paper along with many other fun materials.
