Preschool Art Explorers invites parents to drop off their children and let them fully explore independently. (i.e. get that space you need 😆 while they build confidence in themselves and have a ton of fun)
We will follow a rhythm every class including storytime, open creation time, snack and circle time. Weather permitting part of class will be outdoors in our sensory garden. This class is a great introduction to being in a classroom with other students. Children will sharpen their executive function skills, fine and gross motor skills, and start preparing for their future educational paths.
Being able to independently create art at this age gives children confidence in their own abilities, and instills a lifelong love of the arts.
Preschool Art Explorers will run all school year in 6 week sessions.
A sibling discount of 10% is already applied when you select more than one child.
Please dress children to get messy. Pack a healthy snack, full change of clothing, and outdoor gear when needed.

Family Open Studio is an open-ended experience where children are invited to use the materials in the studio to create and bond with their families while working on a project together that they get to take home. Like our popular Open Studio, it’s all about tinkering, using different materials, solving problems, and expanding creativity while building self-confidence. Family Open Studio honors the process of the individual in a safe and inspiring creative environment designed for family fun.
Invitation Stations are set up to stimulate creativity and Creature Teachers are present to support ideas and facilitate with projects. Parents and caregivers participate by helping children achieve their ideas, without doing the work for them.
At Family Open studio will also provide a healthy snack and drink, lively music, and an all-around atmosphere celebrating family and Friday!
This class is included in our Open Studio Memberships!

Here at CITW we strive to be as inclusive as possible.
Because of that we have decided to create a special sensory-friendly version of our popular Open Studio time. On these special Saturdays, we will set up sensory stations, an art project, and keep all of the outside stimulation to a minimum. There will also be extra Creature Teachers on hand to help out.
Class is $10 per student age 2-12; ages 0-2 are free!
For older students (13+), please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you are interested.
Guardians are required to stay but are allowed to sneak away to relax in the SRW Joyce side of the studio.
